This is an area which is rich in history and diversity, with easy access to all the attractions such as Snowdonia, and charming towns and villages of Denbigh and Rhuddlan with their Castles and St. Asaph, which has the smallest Cathedral in Wales, to name just a few. Our history is marked all over the landscape and towns, from the emergence of man as a cave dweller some 250,000 years ago, through the iron age, Roman occupation, the enlightenment and into the 19th century when Llanefydd village featured in the revolt. Great names from literature have also lived and been inspired by this area, including Thomas Edwards - known as Twm o'r Nant the Cambrian Shakespeare.
